The Trapdoor theatre company offers an interactive learning experience based in the classroom using the drama medium as a means for teaching and learning. We offer both bespoke workshops tailored to the specific learning agenda of individual classes as well tried and tested workshops to provide a fun learning experience across the curriculum.
The company was created through a collaboration between a central school of speech and drama trained teacher and a psychologist who both recognised the powerful role that drama can play in the teaching of children and young people. Emotional intelligence, academic understanding, self esteem, self efficacy, creativity and social development can all be positively affected through the introduction of drama as an educational resource. It is trapdoor theatres aim to make each workshop exciting fun and informative while always maintaining the highest standard of Professional values and practice.
